In this tutorial, we will show you how to update the credit card i Tunes has on file for your account, and how to use Pay Pal as your payment method for i Tunes items. We will also show you how to remove or delete a credit card from your i Tunes account, and how you can purchase from the i Tunes Store without a credit card on your account. If the progress bar of the i OS software update in i Tunes changes to “stopped” you know you were successful in stopping the download and update process from going any further. Then you can simply select the item in the downloads list and hit the “Delete” key to remove it.If you want to keep i Tunes from checking for the same i OS update you just stopped, you need to ignore the update. The easiest way to do that is when the pop-up appears in i Tunes, choose the “Do not ask me again” option checkbox and do not choose to download or install it.
When you first signed up for your i Tunes account, you supplied a credit card Apple would automatically charge as needed (which usually happens when you reach about USD of purchases).
Enter the information for your new credit card, and make sure that the billing address matches the credit card you are changing to; once you are finished, review the information, and click Done to save your new payment information.
To keep your old credit card information, simply click Cancel, and the i Tunes Store will ignore anything you typed, and keep using the old credit card.
And all this can be done right from within i Tunes!
The quickest way to access your i Tunes account is to click on the Store menu, and choose "View My Account (Your Apple ID)".The process can be repeated the next time an update is accidentally starting to download, but it always requires quick action.
